very good food. enjoyed every bite. deviled eggs and grits like I've never had before. packed house. make reservations. typical Albany parking so get there early.

The food just wasn’t good. I ordered the chicken dinner my food was not hot. I had to send my biscuits back because they where cold. The crab dip was good, but I tasted no crab what so ever. I wasn’t happy with my experience, I had high hopes but the mark was missed.

This place is awesome. If you've ever visited a friend or went on a trip to a place like Nashville or Charleston only to come back home and think, "I can deal with the snow, the attitudes, etc., but the lack of good fried chicken, BBQ, and smoked wings in the northeast is a real problem," then the Cuckoo's Nest is your siren. I had the hot chicken, the fried chicken, and the smoked wings. All could easily hold their own in the south. Outstanding!
