Being new to ABQ I used an app to pick a restaurant near me and it selected The Grill on San Mateo. I wasn't sure what to expect but the first photo I saw for this place was a steak so I decided to try it. The cashier (Sandra) welcomed me and asked what I was going to have. I told her it was my first time and asked her what she would recommend. She said the burgers are all very good but the steak is excellent. I ordered the rib eye with onions and mushrooms and she told me it would be the best steak I've ever had. This steak was AMAZING. It was cooked perfectly with just salt and pepper. Kudos to Johnny! I highly recommend this place and will be taking my family here once they get to NM!
