Other than the broken window and the hole in the floor, this place is accepting to all ages not just college students.

I must say it was pretty good. The ambience was pretty cool with good crowd, lively with some arcade games as well. Good selection of beers and there a lot of varieties on the menu for Appetizer to choose from. However, it was self-service/no servers for sometime or at the time I went. It was unfortunate besides that, the only thing I felt could improve were the quality of the glasses they were serving in and the servers. Hate drinking in plastic glasses. Everything else was great.

The Half Barrel is a rather forgettable bar experience. I bellied up to the bar, and immediately noticed that there weren’t many college-age patrons drinking there. As a matter of fact, the dark and dingy bar was not teeming with life at all. There were a few TV’s in the bar, and there was a row of rather uninviting tables in the back.
