It was always good. I'm really sad it's closing. The pig ears were always my favorite. Sweet, spicy, crunchy. I need to find a recipe because these are something I'll truly miss. I got to try the famous Cease and Desist Burger. It was a good burger and I really enjoyed the pickles. The service was always good too. So sad to see y'all leave.

I love this place , but if you want to try it, get there tomorrow. It's closing. I highly recommend the goat dumplings and okra masala. The bartenders are amazing. Drinks are crafted not just mixed. Give it a try before it's gone.

I may have discovered this restaurant bar too late. The Hay Merchant will be closing down less than a month after my first visit. The bar does serve a long list of exciting and local craft beers, including the "coffee cake is for closers" stout; a personal favorite.
