Great food, nice rotating menu to keep items fresh and seasonal. Delicious appetizers to go for drinks and snacks. The wildfire shrimp is delicious!

Do not order the shrimp and grits. They were the worst tasting shrimp and grits. I regretted ordering them first bite. It was my first time there and I was sadly disappointed in my meal. I had high expectations after reading reviews. I should have picked something that wasn’t new to the menu.

My sister visited from out of town and I surprised her with dinner at The Ivory Grille. Afterward, she described it as a ‘true dining experience’ and I agree with her 100%. We started in the Oak Room, the bar area, which is encased in warm wood and ambiance. The bartender was charming. After some wine and delicious hot crab dip we went in to the dining room for dinner. The history of this building is incredible and although the owners have kept many special details, like the tile flooring, the dining room feels spacious yet private, simplistic yet elegant. Our waitress was well versed on the menu, pleasant and attentive. The chipotle meatloaf my sister chose was moist and flavorful and my smothered chicken was amazingly yummy. We couldn’t resist chocolate chip cannoli to take home for desert later and they did not disappoint! What a wonderful treasure in downtown Sedalia, we will definitely return.
