We like the Pearl House so much, we actually drive from South Berkeley to pick up takeout in Albany. Really well done classic American Chinese takeout options, like General Tso's Chicken, beef chow mein, etc. Probably a lot of other things but as I'm not usually ordering for a huge crowd we tend to stick with a few favorites. One of my frequent gripes with takeout is meat...weird tastes/cuts, or poorly trimmed pieces ... but everything I've ever ordered here has been great, with no weird little mystery chewy bits. The prices are reasonable, especially if you call/order directly from the restaurant rather than going through any of the obscenely usurious delivery companies, which stick it to both the customer and the business. The owner / team are all very friendly and I know COVID has taken a huge bite out of their (and others') business, so please give Pearl House a shot. I love to cook, but we are trying to make a point of getting take...
