Don't order their smoky mountain sundae after 5, i waited over an hour when I was told it would be done in 20 minutes. The host asked me 3 separate times if i was "sure that i wanted it" I thought this was odd since she told me it would be 20 minutes, which to me wasn't very long. My boyfriend and my sister enjoyed theirs while the host asked us after about 30 minutes of waiting if we wanted some waters "while we wait" like it was a joke. By 6:45 I finally got up with a very empty belly and they paid for their treats. We barely received an apology. I assume they just didn't want to make it because of the brownie. We even asked after 45 minutes if it was done soon and she said it would be done any minute.. we sat there for another 20 minutes and they were all just standing around.

One thing we are plentiful in, here in Knoxville, is a good place to get a great treat. Especially when it comes to ice cream. Especially when it comes to downtown. Standing out has to be a tough hill to climb. The Phoenix Pharmacy and Fountain has done just that. They're take on an old soda fountain, especially when it comes to ice cream delectables, makes it a must-visit in Knoxville. Not just downtown, all of Knoxville. They make the most interesting sundaes, far superior to even anything I can concoct at home...and I'm no novice. Plus that they have floats is such a delightful treat! They are also great about partnering with other local businesses. The sundae I had with a Status Dough doughnut as the base, and Benton's Bacon crumbles sprinkled as it always should be. The sundae was probably enough for four, but I ate every bite, and regret absolutely none of it. I will return, and often, bringing with me others. I'm spreading the word, y'all!
