The Port of Peri Peri in Algonquin

I went there today for the first time and was looking forward to it. I really like spicy food. Disappointed is an understatement. I walked in and the place was empty (I can see why), and not one employee was wearing a mask. I'm vaxxed so it didn't bother me but others me be put off by it. I ordered two lamb chops and a side of veggies. The lamb chops were so tiny, but the worst part is they were mostly fat and tendons/gristle. $20 and I didn't even get two good bites out of it. Absolutely horrible and a rip off. I will say the sauce was good, I was still hungry of course and had to go somewhere else to eat. Complete waste. Maybe the chicken is good there, but I won't go back to find out.

The reviews are amazing but I have to say I wasn't very impressed... The items we ordered weren't bad per day but under seasoned and over sauced.. The sides were it worth it... the corn and coleslaw were a huge disappointment, just drenched in Mayo I wouldn't come back

I placed an order at The Port of Peri Peri located at the Algonquin location and was dissatisfied. The order (wings platter, one spinach wrap, and one sizzler burger) was ordered via phone at 4 pm and I went to pick it up around 5:15 pm. At the time of arrival, one gentleman was taking orders while two employees were working in the back. I was told multiple times to wait 2 minutes more or 5 minutes more. This is also along with so many other customers waiting for their order. I am not sure why but it doesn’t make sense for 1 employees to be taking phone orders, completing transactions and working in the back at a busy location. I understand sometimes it can take time but to get an order after 2 hours is unacceptable, especially when your order is being prepared in front of you after 2 hours. Hope this service improves.
