Hard to believe there is a decent restaurant at the joint task forces base in Los Alamitos but yes, Virginia, the Pub at Fiddlers Green is there and is amazing in many ways. It is open to the public (after you show i.d. at the gate) but somewhat hard to find so check out a base map beforehand. The lunch menu is decent, the portions are ginormous, and the ambience is one of a kind. Right off the patio sits a non-functioning but very real military helicopter with a display of armaments splashed around. You are also likely to be entertained by frequent air traffic...
