My first time trying banh cuon! Went with a friend who grew up eating this so she ordered for us. For an appetizer, we got #1 on the menu, which had a really nice texture and light savory flavors from the mung bean paste and carrots. For banh cuon, the first plate was #8, just the rice rolls and sausage with no fillings. Once you add fish sauce, the flavors are balanced and everything works so well together, including the bean sprouts. The second plate was #9, which has woodear mushrooms and meat inside the rolls. I liked the different textures and flavors of this one too. Everything tastes really fresh and portions are pretty big! Total price for our 3 dishes was $27. Cash only!

CASH ONLY! 3.5 stars overall, but rounding up since their banh cuon noodles were smooth and thin. This is a hole in the wall joint with no frills. I'm not sure if we received an off batch or not, but their banh cuon thit cha lua tasted like soap. The noodles were still nice and thin, but it was difficult to eat. Thankfully, their banh cuon thit nuong was much better, and I would recommend this version. For Texas, Thien Thanh is a solid place to go for banh cuon, and their portions were sizeable. Only indoor dining is available at this time. Most of their staff were wearing masks. There was plent...
