Such a cute, intimate place. The scallops and yellowtail carpaccio were so so good! Since there are only 2 people there (cute older couple) the service is a little slow, but the food is so worth it. Best sashimi in town :')

This place is a hidden gem. I didn’t want to write this review, mainly for selfish reasons, so that I can keep it to myself. But, the wonderful couple that own this restaurant are too nice, and I prefer they stay open by getting more business. We came upon this place serendipitously. We were supposed to go to another restaurant, but being that it was Father’s Day, the other restaurant required reservations and we didn’t think of making one. Sitting in the car while in the other restaurant’s parking lot, thinking of where to go next, our online search for a nearby Sushi restaurant returned Tokyo Shokudo. I placed a call and asked if they are requiring reservations, and the lady that I spoke with said to give them about 30 minutes so that they can take care of the takeout orders first. We arrived 30 minutes later and were seated in the modest dining area. There was one other family dining during that time, we were dining rather early, about 5:30pm. We were seated and menus were provided. Service was not as swift as other restaurants maybe, and that was fine with us since it was Father’s Day. We noticed that it seemed to be just the couple running the restaurant, so keep that...
