My husband and I, middle aged long-time Montrosians, went for dinner last night on our way to the theatre and were very disappointed. The updated decor is gorgeous and the service was fine (except for the hostess), but the food and drinks were awful. Husbands gin cocktail had absolutely no taste. My chick pea fritters had no flavor and my mushroom pasta was almost inedible. Husbands onion soup was good. I’m not a chef, but I know good food and this is not it. I sincerely hope this group gives their menu a rethink and makeover as it would be great to have a good restaurant in that lovely space.
