Robyn was our very gracious and friendly server today for dinner. She provided us with exceptional service! Torchy's is a very nice restaurant at the Washington Athletic Club. We had some champagne and beer. We enjoyed the salmon, shrimp scampi linguine and the seafood salad. Food Presentation was very attractive and colorful. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our dining experience this evening.

I had high hopes when I came with some coworkers on a Friday for lunch, being that this is in the prestigious WAC. Unfortunately, Torchy's failed to deliver anything close to satisfying. My team visited on a day when Torchy's was technically closed (I forget why), but being that we made reservations, they actually let us come. We had the whole dining room to ourselves, which felt pretty cool. It's the most VIP I've felt in a while haha. Me and two coworkers decided to share 3 salads, the Thai Crunch Chicken Salad, the Vietnamese Flat Iron Steak Salad, and the Grilled Salmon Salad. Being completely honest, none of the salads did anything for me. There wasn't enough dressing on any of them, the greens weren't fresh, and the meats were overcooked to say the least. The Vietnamese Flat Iron Steak Salad was by far the worst - the steak wasn't seasoned at ALL, and there wasn't much of it to begin with. It was my choice to get it, and I regret doing so. I also ordered the Dungeness Crab Bisque, which was the only thing giving me some sort of slight satisfaction. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't great. And for $7, they sure didn...

If you seek the sports bar that caters to patrons with refined tastes such as dark wood, brass rails, and elegant seating then Torchy's is your first and last destination in Seattle. This place checks all the boxes: historic charm but not pretentious, detailed woodwork but not like you're in a museum, fancy surroundings but not intimidating. I would easily give the atmosphere, service, and drinks 5 stars but my old fashioned was prepared muddled with Jack Daniels for someone with absolutely no standards. If you have a preference for your cocktail (even one that should be painfully obvious) be sure to let them know in advance. Despite the lower star rating I will definitely return.
