Got the Kitsune Soup Udon with vegan broth and poached egg and Satsuma Sweet Potato Tempura Very tasty! I used to come here a lot around 4 years ago, seems to still be very reliable. I am a FANATIC about udon noodles, so I was so excited to try this fast-casual udon place!! You have your selection of various udon noodle soups (cold and hot) as well as add-ons such as veggies fried with tempura and croquette. The prices are very decent. If you've had marugame udon, it's the same concept. This restaurant is tucked into University District, so it might be hard to find street parking. But it's worth it!

While we walked along University, I told my family I really wanted to try U:Don Fresh Japanese Noodle Station. (Not cause there's a hidden happy face in their name, I promise.) The way they serve their udon was just like Mentsudan in Tokyo... so I had to try! You pick what kind of udon (soup or dry) you want, they heat it up, and you pick what toppings you want to add. Green onions and the tempura crumble are free, but you do have to pay for the tempura pieces you add into your bowl. The broth was good and their portions are huge, but unfortunately, their noodles were a bit undercooked... which kind of ruined the meal for me. :( I can't wait to go back to Japan for the legit stuff!
