Uma Star Anise in Kula

Please do yourself a favor and visit Star Anise. You cannot go wrong with any of your choices because everything is delicious. Uma is personable and provides great customer service. There are some places when upon first bite you know for a fact that you are going to come back. Star Anise is one of them. Flavors are so good that you eat until you don't even realize you're full. Uma's naan is fantastic. It's massive in size (which I definitely appreciate) but it is a separate item you'll have to pay for. If you're early enough you can snag some samosas. Uma's samosas were filled to the brim and a nice mix of crisp outside with a warm filling. Star Anise also offers large order dishes in glass jars. I ordered her pumpkin soup with turmeric and ginger that you can get around 3-4 servings. The soup was creamy and the ginger is not overpowering. Absolutely great. More of a mild flavor if you're craving for something to soothe the stomach. I've also had her chickpea, spinach and potato curry that had a little more heat and is on the spicier side for me but still amazing. This would be an awesome pick for when you need...

Delicious. Everything I've had was to perfection. I go weekly to at least get soup. I'm so glad I found Uma Star Anise. Very nice.

Uma makes lots of different dishes. All they I've tried have been delicious. Whenever we are on the island we sought her out !
