Sooooo.. Fresh out of Cali (don't worry Houston people I'm not moving here promise! Just visiting on a quick weekend trip). Got in late, check into the hotel, and it's midnight. Not many places are open and this is the coldest Houston night ever! Like out the shower and streaking outside cold! Like you wearing clothes but still feel naked cold! I mean I thought I was in Houston, not Chicago!! Anyway, I digress... I walk around the cold, dark city, Looking for food. One place is closed, another is closed, I'm looking like an Eskimo in an orange hoodie and then I run into Vinny's. They are putting the chairs inside, and I ask the guy if they were closed and do you know what he said to me... in the most angelic voice I ever heard... "We close in 10 minutes". I wanted to kiss him but we don't do that in Los Angeles!! Anyway hop on inside and order 4 slices, 2 pepperonis, 1 meatzilla, and 1 CBR! and then brave the cold weather back to the hotel. Now let me tell you when I got inside, got warm, and then ate that pizza...  it was everything! This was some GREAT Pizza... Houston peop...

The lemon pepper was too sour needed some seasoned to kill the sour smaller wings without all the coating.

Vinny’s is a modern little pizza joint located in EaDo in the heart of the hip-and-happening bar scene there. We went with the Pepperoni and Meatzilla to try out some of the classics. They were decent pies but didn’t really have anything to them that wowed me away. Certainly not enough to justify the hefty price tag. One thing to note is that I did order for pickup. Would be happy to return for a dine-in experience to re-evaluate.
