TERRIBLE COVID PROTOCOLS. None of the staff were wearing masks, they didn't actually look at my vaccination card, and even though hardly anyone was in the restaurant, and there were tons of open tables, they sat another party RIGHT next to me, like within arms reach. Why do they even have tables that close together? I gulped down my port and ran out of there. Not the leisurely, safe-feeling dessert treat I was hoping for . And so unnecessary! At least 2-3 open tables 12 feet from me! They wouldn't even have had to sacrifice a four top to a small party; the couple next to me could have used at least two other open 2-tops!!!!!! Social distancing would have been no problem! Uggh.

We returned to Voila! Bistrot with a party of eight for an impromptu family reunion dinner on August 4th.  The service was excellent and the server remembered me from 19 months before.  We ordered a Sancerre and a Margaux to start.  We had the beet salad and a simple salade Savoyarde.  My sister-in-law had the escargots persilles.  We enjoyed everything and ordered bread (a la carte) to enjoy the juices.  Two of us in our party ordered the salmon, one the cote de porc.  A special was ordered and one hamburger with extra frites.  One ordered the Citron ravioli.  One ordered the hangar steak.  We enjoyed all the entrees.  We ordered a second bottle of red from Bordeaux, a Paulilac.  For the birthday celebration, we had a tarte au citron a...
