This unique place has brought back the feel of the old-fashioned style soda fountain. Back in the day this was a place where neighbors could gathered to enjoy carbonated beverages , socialize and exchange community news . Westwood Fountain has preserved this perfectly . It has old style fountain appeal along with homemade soups and desserts and wonderful customer service. This is a gathering spot for neighbors just like it used to be . I wish I lived closer ... probably a good thing I don't !!! I'd never cook again. There soups are just like your grandma used to make . A bowl of homemade goodness . I had the egg salad (made in house as well) on toasted rye with lettuce and tomato. It had chips and pickles with it . Along with a bowl of Chicken n Rice . It was so good I ordered a quart to go. Unfortunately , I was in a hurry to get to an appointment so dessert will have to wait till next time . Just know that lunch is served till 4:00 , but if you miss it you can come in for take home items until 6:00pm.
