This was my first visit to Xalos's and I was very impressed . I ordered the halibut taco . It was only 7.00 , I expected it to be small so I ordered a side of black beans and rice for 3.75 . The taco was a nice size with a generous portion of halibut .The beans and rice were very good . It was great that I had my choice of refried beans or black beans . Xalos sure has expanded since I moved to Anchorage, and I am more than OK with that! This location snuck right up on me. It is where the mediocre pizza place (Chicago something or other? I forget the name?) next to the amazing pizza place (Moose's Tooth) used to be. It's the same style as the other locations, you look up at the menu board. There is a plethora of pre-made burrito options (perfect for those of you too indecisive for Subway-style burrito joints), you pick one, you order at the counter, and they bring it out to you.
