worst of all .. order a caldo de res. It took more than an hour. They do not give me spoons and the caldo was expired. and the solution is that fence they are going to give me another free one .. super bad xalos I do not recommend it

Such happy thoughts when I think about this place. As a vegetarian, it is SO hard to find decent veggie options. This place has a large menu that consists of both meat AND veggie items. My husband and I each ordered the veggie burrito, and we ordered a side of rice & beans for our toddler. I believe we spent around $30 with tip included. Not bad for Anchorage. The veggie burritos were awesome! There were actual veggies in it, not just tofu or too much rice. The pinto beans were flavorful, the rice was a perfect texture, and there was also guacamole, cheese, zucchini, carrots, and other veggies. So delicious and massive! The side of rice and beans was also amazing. The flavor of the rice and beans was spot on. I could hardly believe I was ordering this food from an express burrito spot in Alaska. I was pleasantly surprised. In fact, we went back 2 days later for takeout. I highly recommend Xalos Burrito Express. I know I can't wait until I can have it again. And again.
