Don’t let the outside/ambiance fool you, this restaurant is exceptional and outstanding. The portions are huge and the value is extraordinary. Love this place and is my favorite go to for Italian in the city.

Hole in the wall joint with some killer Italian food and huge portions at a great price. The calamari steak was a first for me. It's a grilled slab of squid with olives, spinach, and sun dried tomatoes. Super meaty, rich, tangy, all around awesome appetizer and a great way to enjoy calamari. The ragu pasta was amazing. The beef was incredibly tender and the sauce completed the beef perfectly.Tiramisu was good, standard tiramisu. Solid way to finish up the meal.Overall, strongly recommend this place, I'm do glad I found it. The prices are fair, portions are HUGE, and the food is delicious.

The people who own and operate Aglio e Olio should be knighted. Or perhaps be thought of as saints. Or given the presidential medal of freedom. They create fabulous Italian food for reasonable prices. Massive portions that you look forward to eating as a leftover! The meatball sub is outrageous. If I went to Il Terrazzo Carmine and got the same meatball sub, I would happily pay what they would charge, (which would be more), and be absolutely pleased. The veal parmesan with spaghetti, (I had it this evening), is absolutely delicious. Every item I have ever had there has been off the hook. The house made pickled vegetables are also a nice touch.I love these people. They're doing God's work. I am beyond addicted.
