Mediocre is a dish served cold or hot at the China Inn Cafe 5. I won't slam this venue because there are already quite a few reviews here in Yelp, which paint the picture for the prospective diner. Suffice it to say that this restaurant offers up an "Americanized" menu of choices and from dining there a couple of times I found the food abusively laden with oil and devoid of any taste. I'm not an apologist yet we are in Houston with a large Asian population and I feel that restaurateurs have an obligation to strive for excellence and offer diners outstanding fare.
