Crispy House in Artesia

A must stop for me every time I go to So Cal. The avocado shake is so good, and the crispy pata is to die for. Yummmmy Filipino food!!!!

My husband has ordered here many times and the CRISPY PATA is AMAZING! If you get anything from here, it has to be that and you will want to keep coming here just for it. They don't have a sign outside their restaurant so u just have to go by either the chiropractor next door or the line of people outside waiting for their order. We have never called ahead but here are the numbers: (562)865-7340 (562)865-1325 We have tried: CRISPY PATA (14.99) can't speak highly enough about this place and their crispy Pata. I'd totally order for catering for this gem and we live more than 60 miles from here GARLIC FRIED RICE (9.25) not very garlicky. It's ok. Overpriced, IMO and we will skip it next time. FRIED CHICKEN WINGS (10.99) tasty. They really know how to deep fry at this place. Would get it again, but have to eat it while it's freshly made to get the best taste out of it. DINUGUAN (9.50) I don't eat dinuguan so can't tell you if it's good or not, but my husband loves it. BEEF TAPA (9.75) slightly sweet and delicious even the day after. We saved most of it to eat for breakfast the next day and it was still good (tip: Dont reheat coz it gets harder). Small portion size though so will need to remember to buy this a la carte in the future. KARE-KARE (9.99) sorry to say that I do not recommend this at all. Better off going to Barrio fiesta for kare kare (but here for crispy Pata ). We tried it twice and still didn't like it. Skip it and just buy more crispy Pata. Pretty sure u got my main point: BEST CRISPY PATA

STOP BEFORE YOU ORDER FROM THIS PLACE FOR THE HOLIDAYS!!! I came to pick up  my order due at 5:30 on Christmas Eve and got there at 4:30, anticipating the holiday rush. When I got there, there was a big crowd of people waiting for their orders, probably about 40-50 people. When I asked around if there is a pick up system, I discovered these people had been there since 1:30, 2:00, 2:30, 3:00 waiting for their orders. It would be very difficult at this point to cancel the order because it would be hard to scramble and look for food elsewhere.  So I waited. One lady had her lawn chair out. The people waiting since 1:30 finally got their orders between 4:30-5:00. The lady next to me who had an order for 4 pm finally got her order at 7:45 pm. Everyone was angry.  It totally ruined Christmas for the families of these customers waiting at home without food on the table.
