El Grito Taqueria is great. The food and service both outperformed my expectations (which were fairly high considering the reviews). I just paid my first visit to this establishment today during my 30 minute food break at work. I can see the "$2 taco Tuesday" sign from the window and I knew I had to try it at some point. I'm very glad I did. I wasn't especially hungry today, so I got two tacos: carnitas, and the cod which the bartender recommended from the remaining options. The tacos were everything I could've hoped for as someone that was born and raised in Southern California and grew up loving great Mexican food. The meat was juicy and plentiful and the corn tortillas were solid. My meal cost me $4.40 (though I left a few bucks for a tip) and by the time I was out the door it had been exactly 20 minutes since my meal break had started, so the service was exemplary as well. I strongly recommend checking this place out if you haven't yet.
