I had such a fantastic experience here. I tried things I had never even heard of before and they knocked it out of the park - that's impressive when you're not just ordering your favorites. The best part was the genuine kindness and hospitality of the owner/manager - that was a real delicacy from a bygone era.

The owner is SO warm and welcoming!!! We came on Christmas Eve and had one of the best meals ever!!Our favorites:- Fettosh salad: a refreshing mix of cucumber, tomato and crushed pita bread. Such good flavors and textures!- Lamb and prune tagine: the lamb was cooked to perfection and falling off the bone. The prunes were a perfect addition of sweet and tangy.- Harira soup: Such a flavorful vegetable tomato soup with lentils and chickpeas. Perfect with the moroccan bread.- Chicken Pastilla pie- A sweet and savory chicken pie! Such great flavor combinations with the nutty sweet layer and the chicken pieces.I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. It is a must try!!

This little place off the beaten path is a MUST. Every time my parents visit they turn down the chance to go to any trendy DC/ Arlington restaurants and insist that we go back to Fettoosh. I personally can't get enough of the lamb tagine, with meat so tender that it falls off the bone, but everything we've had has been excellent. Considering the prices in the area, this is a great value. Highly recommend!
