This is the hidden gem of Knoxville! Huge pizza has lots of flavor and is plenty filling. Believe me when I say this place knows pizza, from how to cook the dough just right to how the sauce and cheese should be. The only downfall is the price but hey sometimes a splurge is worth it.

I think this place changed names to Empire because the number was the same for both. This was my first trip so not sure if it changed from before or not. I can tell you they have awesome lunch specials and do pizza by the slice for lunch. I got the pepperoni slice with a salad. Pizza was awesome and the homemade ranch dressing was delicious. The young lady that waited on me was outstanding. They have 4 beers on tap as well.

This is not NYC pizza - period. Just moved to Knoxville from NYC. "I LOVE NY PIZZA" pizza does not taste anything like DiFara, Spumoni or even Grimaldi's. Waiter had no clue when I try to order "sicilian". Looks like they bake the pie with some sauce and let it sit. When customer orders they add some cheese and reheat the pie. THIS IS NOT NY STLE PIZZA and owners should know since (from what I heard) they are from New York City.
