BEST pork katsu curry ever! The pork was juicy, bouncy, and just overall incredible. I've never had pork katsu like it. The uni was sweet and fresh. The nigiris can use a bit less rice though. I also recommend trying the abalone and liver combo if you have an adventurous taste. The liver was so rich and creamy. I was taken aback for a second because it was out this world. Aside from that, the chirashi was just typical with cheaper cuts of fish. I will order the sashimi combo next time instead.

Giving it 1 star for service - not food. I am a regular customer and due to pandemic I usually order curbside. I called to order my regular items and unfortunately the person taking my order messed up and gave me yellowtail sashimi not yellowtail carpaccio or hamachi as I know to order it... long story short, realized error after I came back home and calling back I was told they could not take back the yellowtail sashimi (I get it) and that if I wanted to order a yellowtail carpaccio I needed to pay for it... what kind of customer service is that? They made a mistake but blamed it on me because they repeated the order back and I did not catch this. They want me to drive back and also pay for it again??? I will think twice about ordering again from here even though I love their food. They should be more considerate to all customers, but even more for r...

I love eating at Izakaya-wa. the dishes are delicious and there's a large selection, always fresh and tasty and with a friendly service. Highly recommended.
