I joined some friends for what turned out to be a pretty decent, but unremarkable dining experience overall. Eating as part of a larger group meant we got to try a larger variety of items, but I can't really say that was a good thing this time. The appetizers and small plates were easily the highlights of the night, with the Bone Marrow, Spicy Edamame and Tempura Ika being the best dishes we had. Each had a ton of flavor, with the light/subtle batter on the ika and heat on the edamame really standing out.The various pieces of nigiri were pretty much all good, but the Chu Toro Special Nigiri was still a little disappointing. While the meat itself was tasty, the additional touches didn't really enhance the flavor at all.The various rolls we ate were mostly good, with the only real bad one being the Sweet Toro Roll as it just lacked any real flavor at all. The Texas, Scallop Meets Salmon, and Thai Cowboy Roll were all solid options that I'd get again, but none were any to run back for.

I've heard of Kanau sushi for a while but haven't got a chance to try till now!! Anniversary dinner it is!! Amazing ambiance and service! Our server is super nice and hilarious! He recommended us a lot of yummy dishes. A little bit sad cuz they don't have Hokkaido uni but it's all fine. All of the dishes we got were phenomenal!! Love the foie gras and uni toast the most! Their food quality is top notch! The only dish I was kinda ehh it's okay" is the chawanmushi (egg custard - u10 scallop - uni - caviar - chives). I'm not too crazy about it. Basically doesn't taste a...
