We stumbled into this charming place with naive and limited Mediterranean experience and had the BEST dinner! The owner kindly and patiently walked us through the menu and guided us through the best choices to order. We settled with some gyro Greek pitas, babaganoush, and Egyptian mint tea. Everything we ate was incredible and the tea was delightful! Absolutely will be returning here

How would I have the good fortune of learning about new things if not for our dearest friends Ricardo and John? During the dinner last Saturday at a Lebanese restaurant, Richi told us about a dish he loves in Egypt, the best served in a 5-story restaurant specialized this. My curiosity is piqued so I have to seek out this dish to get an idea why it is loved so much. If I remember correctly, it's a dish that was invented by an Italian Chef cooking for the King of Egypt. It's a pasta and rice dish that has a tomato-based sauce, with various types of ingredients that eventually become a national dish of Egypt. After some quick search, I found a place in Houston that serves it. Of course, I don't expect it to be anything close to the one in Egypt, but I truly have no idea what it should be. The version that I got has two types of pasta, Elbow is the usual from what our Egyptian friend Norma told us, and this one has Spaghetti too. It has Yellow Rice, Garbanzo Beans, and Fried Onions, tossed lightly in a Tomato Sauce. The cook suggests Gyros as protein, which I gladly obliged, and it didn't disappoint. It also comes with a vinegary hot sauce that tastes like Cholula, but it's actually house-made. The skillet comes out piping hot, it stays hot almost until I finished more than half. I love the aroma and the taste of Fried Onions, all the different ingredients come together very well. I find it very comforting and hearty, it's like a warm embrace from an Egyptian family. I just love to explore different cultures and I'm so grateful to have tried this special dish today. Where would I be if not because of my good friends?

Took a break from shopping to try a new Mediterranean spot. We settled on this place cozy and quaint but a little confusing on the oder process. So upon arriving we were told to seat ourselves we picked a table then waited for awhile. I had asked the gentleman who was working just about everything In the restaurant do we order at table or where at which time he said to get up look at the board which is not visible from the tables and then sit down and he would take our order( a lil difficult memorizing) we ended up ordering chicken kabob with rice and salad and egg rolls aa an appetizer I received my plate and not until I was almost done I had remembered the egg rolls which he brought. The food was good but I would definitively back for the hot tea. That was delicious.
