We heard this spot was under new management, so we had to check it out. The server told us about the sake selection and brought us a couple of samples, so we splurged on a bottle (didn't finish it, but they wrapped it to go before we left). Bottom Line:  Delicious, fresh sushi as well as "robata" options too, served by a friendly staff.   Fish dancing in the water   Caught   Now in my belly. My Dad started eating sushi before it was mainstream and when the restaurant employees spoke little or no English.  As a result, he's a bit of purist and super particular about his sushi. He eats sushi every Tuesday and Oishi has earned a spot on his rotation.  As a result, I knew I had to check out Oishi Japanese Cuisine. If you like sushi, you will love Oishi because the fish is very fresh and everything is artfully prepared, as it should be.  If you are lukewarm on sushi then you will be comforted by those items from the robata - a fancy word for grill.  Regardless of your taste, you will be welcomed by the staff here and appreciate the cleanliness of this restaurant.  For me, the decor is a little stark and bland but I can certainly overlook that given the entertainment of the sushi chef's precise knife skills and the taste of sweet, fresh fish on my pallet.   Oishi is a pleasure for my taste buds.   I welcomed the complimentary cucumber and yellow tail app form the sushi chef.  Not only was it pleasing to my pallet, I really appreciate how finely the chef was able to julienne the cucumber. From there I enjoyed seaweed salad that was nestled on cucumbers.  Then it was time to get serious.   I had the Orioles role (spicy tuna and avocado), Dinosaur role (...
