One Bowl Asian Cuisine in Ann Arbor

I don't believe I tried this place even with some bad recent reviews. Simply speaking, terrible food quality with expensive price. Hot Stone Pot Bibimbap: Pot was not hot at all, poor ingredients quality, low quality rice. And, not a single side banchan for Korean dish. Spring rolls: Taste was not good with poor quality ingredients in rice wrap. Beef Chinese: Never heard or seen recipe with a lot of onions of unusual taste. This was the only place I could not finish eating ordered food in my AA life. On top of those: 18% "mandatory" tip? How shameless on that service? I feel why it located at a busy area with students who normally do not care or understand much of value of money.

Ordered the chicken katsu ramen bowl and the spicy pork hot pot. Well first of all no noodles in the ramen bowl when I got home. And the hot pot that was indicated as "spicy" had zero flavor. Very sad. Wouldn't recommend at all.

Today I went there for lunch with my husband and one of my friend who recommended this place. But before going while reading the reviews on yelp I was very disappointed and worried that my lunch will be awful today. With my surprise our experience was amazing in terms of food . Every thing we ordered was very very tasty and the portions were huge. I can't wait to go back again. So "One bowl Asian Cuisine" is a mixture of Chinese Japanese Vietnamese. I have no idea about the authenticity of each dish but they all tasted great. So we were seated as soon as we entered. I tried to open the deal they have on yelp that you get 25% off if you checked in and show that to the server while sitting. Unfortunately they do not have that deal going on any more but the gracious young lady was very sweet enough to offer us a free appetizer. So we chose pan fried pork dumplings. They were not the best I have but pretty impressive with size and stuffing inside. The dish comes with 6 dumplings and I loved the soy sauce too. For our main course I ordered hot pot pork curry which comes with rice on the side. My husband had chicken ramen Katsu soup and my friend ordered pork vermicelli. When these foods arrived I was awestruck by the size . But what was more surprising was the taste of each bowl. They all had fresh ingredients. Super super flavorful broth and each dish has their own individuality. I am still surprised and can't understand why they have very less 5 stars. I do have some complaints about the service though.
