[ THE SCENE ] We only had a small amount of time to spend in Asheville, so I decided the best experience would be to sample different foods at different restaurants instead of filling up at just one. RED GINGER DIMSUM & TAPAS came highly recommended by two locals and since their vegetarian selection was so extensive, I thought it was the perfect place for our small crew of three! It was late in the day and the projected wait time was about a 45 minutes, but they promised us they would get us in before closing. They gave us a buzzer and took our mobile number to call us when our table was ready. It only took about 25 minutes before we received a call. [ THE FOOD ] The interior is attractive and modern and service was outstanding! My wife ordered SUSHI and I decided to try the PORK DUMPLINGS Shanghai Style. These were some of the best dumplings I've ever had as each was bursting with a small amount of chicken broth, which was both a surprise and a delight. I also ordered the PORK SHORT RIBS and while they were excellent in flavor, there was little to no meat on them... just fat, bone and cartilage. So I sent them back.
