Excellent Shanghainese food! And great service. I wish I had known about this place earlier. Best in the Valley, for sure.

Im from out of town and stopped by for lunch after a visit at the museum. Not sure because we came in with 2 toddlers that were loud or service was always that horrible. The waiter was on his phone most of the time we were there. After the food came out, we needed more rice and asked for an extra bowl of white rice and an order of dan dan noodles. 10 minutes later, no white rice. When I look back, waiter was on his phone and you could hear the slot machine sound coming from his phone. I had to get up and asked for the white rice first to eat with the foods that already came out. For the entire time we were there, he came over once and took one plate away. He didn't bother to ask if we needed more water or take away the dishes. If the restaurant was busy, I can totally understand the slow and inattentive services, but we were the only table in the restaurant at that time. Food was okay, the dan dan noodles was not tasty as I remembered like other places. N...

The shrimp was enormous and encased in a salted egg yolk coating that was shatteringly crisp. We had to stop ourselves from polishing off the whole dish in one go. West Lake Pork (5/5): To those who are a fan of braised, melty pork, this dish is for you. Every hunk of meat bore a generous cap of fat & pork skin that was cooked to...
