Bravo to sommelier. 3 perfect wine selections for our table. Salmon, tenderloin, rib eye and short rib all perfectly prepared. Full flavor realized from the 72 hour prep of the short rib. Desserts rounded out the meal with a new spin on chocolate covered tiramisu and heart warming bread pudding. Post dinner drinks in bar complete w the original Bloody Mary (aka Red Snapper). Bar and lobby hopping w live holiday music and tasteful decorations. Ask about the story of the mural (see photo). Great start to holiday!!

While staying at the St Regis, I had breakfast at this resto a couple of mornings. $30 buffet got me the deelish lox, bacon, chocolate croissants, cheese, cured meats...in a swank spot. Considering most of the breakfast restos around town have menu prices that dwarf Manhattan prices, this $30 buffet seems fair. Fair and delicious. I'll be back.

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic!!! However, before making reservations and you have to make reservations be aware that the actual restaurant is closed and you will be eating in the hotel bar / lobby. No this is not a bad thing. The lobby and bar are gorgeous and with lovely roaring fireplaces and well-known artwork. Also the menu is now limited due to Covid but they have included some of the best items. Now it is no secret that the food and drinks are amazing here... but this is very little know fact about the Velvet Buck... they have the best kids meals in all of Aspen. Lol Seriously Aspen is expensive and if your traveling with family there is no cheap meal. But if you want a 5 star meal that is literally the same price as eating at the Red Onion depending on what you order then this is the place to eat with your kids. The kids Salman / Chicken plate is easily a $35 dollar meal for $14 and your kids will love it. Call in advance to meet the resident St Bernard dog of the ST Regis aspen during lunch time. Fantastic experience and you and your kids will have a 5 star meal for a... well average Aspen price.
