I've made so many beautiful memories at Wekiva Island. There's swimming, kayaking, canoeing and a fantastic bar. The eats from the local food truck really hits the spot. They have live music and events on select dates. All and all this is a peaceful water oasis with lots of beautiful scenery and local wildlife.

Best place to hangout and socialize with people. Came here for 5 years, just on different day and time. 2019, I went there most of Saturdays. This year since the beginning of July, I go on Sundays. I do bring my volleyball with me to share with anyone who likes to play. If anyone is interested in playing volleyball on Saturdays, let me because I arrive at 8:00 am until 4:30 pm.

We absolutely loved our trip to Wekiva Island-- It was a great outdoor excursion while staying in Orlando! We were a little apprehensive on our drive in, as we worried the long line for the nearby state park was for Wekiva Island. However, we were pleasantly surprised that our patience was rewarded with the organization at Wekiva Island. We were guided to a parking spot after a short wait. This was 9:30am on a Saturday and we were able to make it in. We paid $45 for a full day of a 3 person canoe. In actuality, it was too hot and tiring past 2pm so we ultimately gave up and headed for the volleyball courts, but the experience was definitely still worth it! Since we started early and beat the crowds, we were lucky to spot many alligators from a distance. We saw 12+ babies, and a handful of adolescents and adults too! We also saw a raccoon, otter, and many fish and birds. I would encourage you to be respectful and quiet to spot the most wildlife safely! It was completely worth it and an awesome experience!
