Our experience was mediocre at best, the only thing I can recommend is the Sonora dog that's made with ingredients that are from a local bakery

went out to dinner with some friends. Not very impressed with the food. The queso was watery; the margaritas were good, but tacos lacked much flavor for a Mexican restaurant.The staff there is also not friendly, especially for a touristy spot in AVL.

the restaurant owner of Sonora Cocina Mexicana Restaurant is actually yelling at and insulting customers on Google reviews ‼️ due to Covid rules, they cannot seat parties larger than 6 so we asked for 2 tables with 3 people each and they refused us service. after writing a negative review, we walked past the restaurant and at the front door an employee called us f**king a**holes. please tell all your friends and enjoy their immaturity and combative responses on Google reviews.
