I was taken there to celebrate my birthday. While I enjoyed the intimate setting of the ambiance. I felt like my visit was rushed. Our reservation was for 9 and had no idea it closed 10. There were a lot of parties still at the restaurant. My friend had put on special request that it was my birthday. He had to keep asking them to bring something out for me even though it was on the recommendation.  The waiter didn't seem to interested in what we had to say like almost too nonchalant for me. The salmon I got was good not to sweet and not too tangy. The green beans could've been cooked longer. The drinks were good I will give them that. I love my side of potato au gratin.

Just always a fun experience, but this one went above and beyond. It was my wife's birthday celebration, and we had been to dinner at Pappas Brothers, where she accidentally left her phone (this part is relevant I promise). We live about 3 miles away, so we decided to return to get the phone. Since we were out, we decided to go to The Capital Grille for a late-night drink because we love the ambiance. We did not do dinner here because we were with a party earlier which agreed on a different venue for dinner. It was a Friday night, and we walked in around 9:50pm. My assumption was that they closed at 11pm, and having previously worked in the service sector, I know coming in last minute is frustrating. Chris was the bartender of the night, and of all time in my book. We walked in and a patron was having a picture taken of himself and Chris - and that just set the tone! Chris walked over to ask how we were and to get us anything, which we ordered drinks, a birthday desert and a small appetizer. After ordering, I realized that the restaurant was becoming empty, so I decided to ask at which time they closed. Chris told me 10pm but to not worry about it. We had the most amazing experience, drinks, and just good time at the hands of Chris and the ambiance of The Capital Grille. Such a lovely night cap and perhaps some regret that we did not have dinner there, but in the same breath we wouldn't have been seated in the bar area to meet Chris! Thanks so much Chris! We will always be back!
